submitted byGloria - 3 years agoA: Good morning and thank you for your question! Yes the Cascade Manuel Carpet Shampooer holds 2.5 Liters of water. The unit comes with one free bottle of the Ewbank Carpet and Upholstery Shampoo as well. For this shampoo, you use one part shampoo (example 1tbsp) and 10 parts water (example 10 tbsp.) Q: so this robot washes the carpet so it can be in its original carpet even if there's oil or what does it do?
A: Good morning! Than you for your question! Lets start with the fact that this is not a robot shampooer, it is a manual carpet shampooer. Manual meaning run by people power, pushing it back and fourth over your carpet or floor. It's super light weight, and great for spot checking carpets, but lesser known is that it is also good for hard floors! The soapy water is released by a trigger on the handle, it's a small amount that comes out so as not to saturate the carpet with to much water. Then you work the unit back and fourth over the carpet, allow it to dry then vacuum over the dry spots. It works very well for such a small light weight unit! When it comes to oil, you will do well to get something that is specifically meant to get out oil stains (if its motor oil or the like). I hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to reach out again. And also know you can access instruction videos and manuals on our website www.ewbankus.com. Thanks again! Have a great day!

Q: does the machine pick up the water
A: Good afternoon and thank you for your question. The 280 Manual Cascade Carpet Shampooer is a simple light weight carpet shampooer with no electrical components. It functions when the handle is extended so the trigger can be compressed and a controlled amount of water is released onto the carpet (or floor). After the area has been cleaned to the desired degree you allow for the carpet to dry then vacuum up any dirt released or dried carpet shampoo. But the unit itself is not a vacuum and can not suck up any water. Thanks again for your question!

Q: does it have a charger it sits in until use?
A: Hi and thank you for asking your question. The Manual Cascade Carpet shampooer has no batteries, or charger, or power cord. The 280 is light weight and is a manual unit. To use the unit, after filling the water tank as directed, you engage the trigger to release the water onto the floor/carpet area that you are wanting to clean. From there you work the unit back and fourth as directed to work out the stains, or clean the desired area. Thank you again for your question.

Q: Does this operate off AA batteries
A: Good morning and than you for reaching out to us with this question. The Manual Cascade Carpet Shampooer is a manual unit, so it has no power running to it at all. It works after the handle is engaged, the tank is full and you compress the trigger on the handle to release a small bit of water into the desired cleaning path. From there you work the unit back and fourth over the area until clean, wait for it to dry, the vacuum up any residue left from the soap. ~Ewbank Team
