Whirlpool/KitchenAid meets or exceeds all standards for safe materials, but our products do have cords, which causes them to make the list. Any time you have a cord, there is the potential for it to come in contact with something hazardous.

This is gorgeous, and we chose it for its looks. As a whole, the machine functions as it should. It feels solid and like a quality appliance. The disappointment set in as soon as I opened the box, however. Not only was the inside of the stainless steel mixing bowl damaged (see photo) the finish on the top of the blender had been worn off somehow and there were dark smudges all over the top. I tried to clean the smudges off and they just smeared. So, for almost $500 I got a beautiful appliance whose finish was damaged. Seems like it would’ve been packaged better or quality control would’ve detected it. Bummer.

Such a pretty neutral color. I’ve put it to the test a bit already and it’s has made everything so much easier and faster. Deserts and tamales are much easier now. I did switch the bowl to an off white bowl to keep out but the copper bowl is so pretty too.

Bought it for the unique color combination, however, KitchenAid has to fix their issue w the bowl. The bowl must be made out of copper to keep color and its integrity. Otherwise, a few uses and it’s peeling. Lastly, I love that it’s matte, but a texture matte would be ideal to hide imperfections and easy scratching

It is even prettier than shown in the pictures! This is my first stand mixer and I’m obsessed. I’m giving 4 stars for Target, not for the mixer. Target delivered it in the original packaging. It would have been nice to have it in a target box or something because it got really beat up/dirty in shipment. Luckily nothing happened to my mixer but this should be improved in the future to avoid damage to expensive products.

Beautiful stand mixer. The only downside as other reviews I wish I had seen before purchasing have mentioned is the copper wears off of where the bowl connects in to the machine which cheapens the look as you know it'll all wear off over time I guess I expected more durability and not peeling on the first use. The pop of copper color is why I purchased it. So that is disappointing.

First, FedEx totally dropped the ball on my delivery and have refused to do anything about it after numerous calls by me & Target. Second, THANK YOU Target for making this right and overnighting a replacement via UPS. This is gorgeous! It’s a flat cream color, very farmhouse. This is too dark for white kitchens. Item arrived without damage and all attachments included: 3 beater/mixer hooks, pour shield & copper bowl that is hand wash. It’s not solid copper - it’s stainless with a copper finish.
