Intended on doing the carpeted stairs and this is not the machine for that! It may be good for small uphosterly/carpet stains. The most frustrating thing is that hardly any water is dispensend, however the cleaning fluid is 5x the dispensing rate. I am not sure how this would clean anything. I have a Shark vacuum which I love, but this does not meet expectations and will be returning. I love to clean and this had zero satisfaction.

This thing was promising at first, then it fell right apart and nothing was included in the Warranty. The normally exceptional warranty service that Shark gives does not an apply here. The hose is not covered and it was the first thing to break. The unit also began leaking solution after a few uses, and the cleaning and ease of disassembly and reassembly instructions and intuitiveness are below average.

Shark products are outstanding. This carpet cleaner had a scannable code right on the top of the product that contains one of the BEST videos I've seen on how to use a product. Bravo to Shark for putting that video together. It explains the options simply and tells you how to get the best results. It also explained features I didn't even know it had. The product is thoughtfully designed and intuitive to put together and use, just like their regular vacuum cleaners. The suction is amazing.

I've only had this machine for a week but it works great! I watched a lot of videos and read reviews on the different products available. I narrowed it down to 3 and eventually chose this machine because it had the best suction. The only negative I have found so far is that the dirty tank needs emptied about 3 times before a new fill of cleaning product and hot water. All the tanks are easy to clean and I ran clean water through twice before letting everything dry overnight and then pack it away. I used it on our ottoman first, the main reason I bought the machine. In just 1 cleaning it looked 90% better! Next I tried it on pet carpet old yellow stains that I have been trying to get up and the carpet looked awsome. It takes about 3 hours to dry carpet and the ottoman was over night.

I don't do rating for products that don't meet my expectations. This product exceeds any expectation that I had. We recently adopted a new puppy and let me tell you this of all the stuff we have for cleaning up messes, this is the best. It is light and portable and easy to clean. We started using it without reading the instructions (Duh) and discovered that you should vacuum the mess first and then use the cleaning spray to complete the cleaning process. Overall, this is worth every penny we spent purchasing this. I understand that there is a newer version to this cleaner that might be an improvement to this, however. I don't know how you improve on perfection. I recommend this to everyone.

I love that there are multiple attachments (the pet mess one is a lifesaver!) And it's so easy to get into small areas with the crevice wand. The Stainstriker is also small enough that I can store it easily when not in use. The time saved with this has been amazing and I like the smell of the cleaner so it's a massive win-win for me!
