Q: I was gifted this vacuum and it worked well for about a day. Now the 3 horizontal dots blink red within 1 minute of me starting to vacuum. I made sure it was charged, and checked dust bin & filter.

  • A: Mine too, I resolved the issue. When you pull out the filter you'll see in the middle there is an area you can pinch together to pull out the inner filter. Clean it well and it'll work normal again.

This thing sucks and not in the funny haha vaccum pun way. Have had for 6 months and now sounds like a chainsaw when running, brush will intermittenly stop spinning and charge, what charge? Not sure if the one I have is defective but if this is how they all are this is a crime for this price.

Nice vacuum - hard to switch hand tools

You wont be able to get any replacement filters!

The vacuum works okay. It's not the best but it does the job. However, we are a busy animal rescue and we bought this, and the hand-vac, because we vacuum a lot around pens and such and need cordless convenience to get around and undereath pens here. The filters get REALLY clogged very quickly, and they have to be cleaned really thoroughly or the vacuum will flash red lights and the motor shuts down automatically - and it seems like the filter "sensors" or whatever are very very sensitive. We've had trouble cleaning the filter enough and getting it to restart - takes a lot of tries, so I was going to go online and purchase extra ones so we could just pop a new one in until we had time to vacuum out (with our huge floor model vac in another part of the building) the filter... well, I called the number for Sharper Image that comes with the vac and was told "you only get this as a kit and no extra parts are sold." Looked online and searched and there are no extra filters you can buy. This doesn't seem right, environmentally or consumer-wise - - to purchase a vac that has only one filter, and if that filter is compromised in any way or can't be cleaned enough, that is it - you have to replace the whole vacuum? Awful. Wish we had not purchased it. I would google any vac before you buy it and make sure you can get replacement filters. Its really reprehensible with all the environmental issues we face, to not have filters available.

I loved the look of this and I loved it when it worked but it never worked. I even had multiple parts replaced and even an entire new one sent to me from the manufacturer hoping it would work and it just wouldn’t hold a charge. Don’t buy.

Definitely not as good as my Dyson but it was a fraction of the cost. Works well enough for my small weekend home. But I have been looking all over the internet for the replacement filter and I cannot find them anywhere! Also have to say I am disappointed to learn it is not a true sharper image product. That leaves me feeling deceived.

NOT a Dyson

Husband bought this and told me is was comparable to my Dyson V6. While I like the low battery indicator (Flashed red when almoust out) and it handles like my Dyson, the suction is NOT even close. Battery and handle a a bit heavier but floor piece has good maeuverability. Suction on MAX for this one is comprable to suction on low of my Dyson.

Beware all who think this is a Sharper Image product. IT IS NOT! It is another company, MerchSource, that sells this product. You need to go through hoops to get any help. I have been waiting over 3 weeks for a replacement vacuum that stopped working after 5 or 6 months. I am worried that this will drag out for months without any resolution.

I bought this vacuum dispose the mixed reviews. I really loved it until the battery died on me today. I had this vacuum for 4 months and passed the warranty from target so decided to look on the sharper image site to order a replacement battery. They do not offer any replacement parts. Now I’m out a vacuum and 200$ what a waste of money! For future reference I will never buy another sharper image product! Please don’t waste your money !!

Absolutely do not buy this vacuum. I bought it and at first it worked great. It stopped working in less than a month. Stopped charging and the battery completely died. Luckily I was within the 30 day return window. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing but was issued a full refund and got a Shark instead. DO NOT BUY.

I bought this item 7/2024 and have needed to contact their company twice for a replacement. The spin head is defective. When I call because of the 2 year warranty, they say they don’t have parts and do not know when it will come!! I have been waiting over 5 weeks now. When I requested a refund, they did not respond! Come to find after talking with sharper image company that the product has been discontinued??? I tried contacting target for reimbursement and to take this item off their shelves so others do not get scammed, but of course, no actions taken. Please do NOT buy. It is NOT a good vacuum and the warranty will NOT be honored since there are no parts or option for refunds. Customer service is unhelpful and gives you a run around.
