Q: For multi surface flooring such as stone and wood can you have it only vacuum the wood and not mop it?

My Roomba Dock is Faulty and the Warranty is Useless

I purchased this product and within three months of when I set it up, it stopped working because the charging on the dock was defective (the contact point jammed and this got worse over time). This should be covered under their 2 year warranty, which they agreed with. However, they do not have a replacement dock available and do not know when they will. Nor do they have any other solutions, like a refund or an exchange with an equivalent device. So, now I am stuck with something that no longer charges and does not work at all. Responses via email are slow (4 days) and trying to talk to somebody on the phone involves long wait times. I have been deeply underwhelmed by the customer support and would not purchase anything from this company again.
The mop stopped working after a week

While it worked great for a week, the mop feature stopped working after a week. It kept saying to reboot the robot over and over. While the mop feature kept glitching, the vacuum part worked great. I ended up returning this robot and bought me a mop iRobot instead. It’s a great idea but unfortunately didn’t work for me.

What it promises it can do and how it actually performs is completely different. Constantly needs attention with base. The base will regularly say it has issues when there are none. The vacuum does well for the most part but will get stuck cleaning the same spot over and over until you make it stop. I can see the potential in it but it has way too many bugs. The time spend babysitting it, I could manually do it myself faster and with less headache

This product is very poor. We ran it over our rooms several times, but there was still dirt that it missed. It supposedly has a dirt detection function, but we did not see this; it missed dirt that was clearly in its path. We found the mop function did not clean our floors either; we ran a cloth over the floor after it had been "mopped", and the cloth came up filthy. We have an old Roomba 980 that vacuums way better than this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been interested in trying out a Roomba, and I was REALLY excited to see this combo version that is both vacuum and mop. We have a combination of flooring in our house and especially like the mop option to clean our hardwood floors. I appreciate the smart capabilities of mapping our house and then using Alexa to run it. Having the AutoWash Dock is awesome as well, self-cleaning the robot and the dock. This saves me time and energy as it empties the debris, refills the mopping tank and washes and dries the mop pad. Also, if you just want to use one function you can set it to only mop or vacuum as well…one tool can do it all!

It's perfect for keeping my home spotless with minimal effort on my part!

It's our newest, perfect addition to the family! 😍 We named him PEPPER and he's the best little HELPER!! Literally the best cleaning robot l've ever owned. We have a pup and 2 toddlers in the house so dirts and messes are a regular thing daily. Pepper saves us lol You do need to download an app to set up to control it perfectly. So at first, I thought the app would be hard for my older parents to use. But no, it's really easy. Especially when you had everything set up in the app. When the robot has been scanned and learned the house. It will clean exactly where you tell it to clean, throughout the house or just specific rooms. You can do it through an app or Alexa. This robot itself is so powerful and smart. We love how it can vacuum and mop at the same time! When in cleaning mode, it will automatically vacuum all corners with an edge sweeping brush. It also has a smart scrub that mops back and forth with accuracy and precision. Great for stubborn little messes! Amazing how it will self-emptying its bin when the job is done. Then washing and drying its own mop pad. How cool is that right?! Saves us so much time daily and the house is back to CLEAN mode again, yay! Would recommend this to all my friends and family. ☺️

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently received the Roomba Combo® 10 Max complimentary for review purposes. Previously we have been using an iRobot Roomba J7+ in our house and have been happy with it's performance. The Combo 10 Max is definitely an upgraded model compared to the J7. Setting up the Combo 10 Max was not a simple process. At first the iRobot ap indicated that the vacuum was assigned to a different account and needed a factory reset. The reset was simple enough to perform, but then the device would not connect to our home wifi to finish the setup. I tried all the steps the ap and website suggested to no success. One annoying detail was that the ap would provide error codes each time it failed to connect, but these codes were not found in any online documentation. After multiple resets of the robot and the Wi-Fi router, the device finally connected and was ready to use. Once the device was up and running, things went much smoother. The ap used the room maps from our J7 and I was easily able to mark areas ont he map to avoid mopping (rugs). There are options to control the amount of water usage and cleaning passes. The vacuum performs just as well as our older Roomba and does good job of maintenance mopping. I wouldn't rely on the Roomba for a large mess on the floor like mud or spilled liquids, it would be too much for the device. This is more for maintaining floors and not spill cleaning. The Combo Max 10 does a great job of obstacle avoidance. The device will also take pictures of obstacles it seems and ask for feedback in the ap (avoid, ignore, etc). It seems that this model has better obstacle avoidance than our previous J7. One major difference between our previous model.and the Combo Max 10 is the size of the base station. The base.statuon is rather large to accommodate the clean and dirty water tanks and the dirt collection bag. The base station empties the dirt front the device automatically (and loudly) and empties/refills the water tank. After mopping, there is also a long drying process of the mop pad on the device. This sounds like a low level fan/blower that's goes on for literal hours and the pad doesn't really feel dry after this process. Maybe there are settings to improve this, but I haven't found them yet. Overall the Combo 10 Max is definitely an improved version of the Roomba with a clever mopping solution.

The set up was easy and I also found videos to help me set it up. It maps out my floors and carpets and keeps them clean for my family. We aren't experiencing as many allergies and the Roomba is why. The Roomba sensors objects in the way and moves around them. The mopping function is a nice feature. The scrubbing function causes the device to move back and forth. This is my first Roomba and I would be so lost without it.

It vacuums and mops very well and has saved me so much time over the past month since I have been using it! The first item I saw when I opened the box was a nice letter from iRobot with their customer service phone number on it. That shows me that this company is very service oriented and available to me if I have any questions about their product. This iRobot Roomba Combo was easy to setup and the app is very helpful and easy to navigate even for someone like me that is a bit technologically challenged. I ran the mapping mode from the app so the robot knows the layout of my rooms. I did this two times and the mapping was very accurate. The robot has a front-facing camera that guides it around obstacles to create the map of your rooms. I then ran it in vacuum only mode, and I was amazed at how well it maneuvered around furniture and a few other items that were left on the floor. It was so smart, and it was very precise. It cleaned in neat rows, avoiding any obstacle it encountered. It left nice straight vacuum marks in the carpet and did not miss a spot! The robot picked up a lot of dirt and it was amazing how smart it was since it knew when to go back to the dock to empty the debris and then go back to vacuuming again where it left off. The next time I ran the vacuum, I ran it in vacuum and mop mode. Again, it did a great job and it knew when it had to return to the dock, if it needed to empty the dirt bin, fill the water tank, wash the pad or recharge. It is such a smart machine! The dock has LED indicators that let you know if the bag needs to be replaced, if the clean tank of water is empty or the dirty tank of water is full. IRobot really makes using this vacuum very easy! Another feature of this vacuum is the Dirt Detect mode. If the robot detects an especially dirty area, it will move back and forth to clean the area more thoroughly. I also love that when it is done mopping, the robot will return to the dock and the dock will wash and dry the mopping pad. This is such a great feature and makes using this vacuum so easy and the robot technology is so smart! On the app, I set up a schedule so it runs twice a week and honestly, I forget that it is going to run and when I come home from work, my floors and carpets look great! It is such a time saver, and I love that I am no longer using disposable sheets to mop my floors since I feel they are very wasteful and bad for the environment. The app is very easy to use and the whole system is foolproof. I am thrilled with this iRobot Roomba Combo Max 10 and I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!

(Only thing that was weird is the instructions for setup were the last thing to be unpacked) With kiddos and dogs, it helps keep up our floors and keep the dust down. We have noticed a reduction in our family's allergies with consistent use of the Roomba. The initial home scan and floor layout was very easy and simple to do it just took some time. Creating and editing schedules are very simple and easy as well as doing a one-time clean. The Roomba is gentle around objects with its sensors detecting things in the way. The mop function is ok it is more or less running a wet pad across the floor, it does have a scrub function where the device moves back and forth for a "scrubbing" motion. The device does know the difference between carpet and hard floors so it can adjust mopping and vacuuming. We don't know how we have lived this long without our Roomba.

First I want to say the setup was a little hard since there were no instructions on how to use the Roomba. Once I did some research and downloaded the app things got easier. Also YouTube was a great help. This product is a dream come true. It's like having a personal maid. There's 4 stages of cleaning. The vacuum is great and even gets pet hair from both carpet and hard floor. The mopping system knows when there's carpet and lots the mop to the top so carpet won't get wet. The autowash docks automatically, refills and recharges, washes and dries the pad then empties the dustbin and self cleans. Thank you Influenster for this product because it's a game changer in how I clean my house. I 100% recommend it.

It has made cleaning day a breeze and freed up time so that I can complete other tasks around the house. First time setup was quick and easy thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions and QR code. After setup, charging, and firmware update, I was able to have the robot vacuum map out my home to my liking and then start the cleaning process. I can use the iRobot app on my smartphone to customize my floor cleaning, set a schedule, view a map of my home, view the owner's guide, etc. The app is user-friendly and informative. This robot vacuum is much more technologically advanced than my old, outdated one. The vacuum process is thorough and picks up pet hair and even the smallest debris with ease. My home consists mostly of hardwood flooring, area rugs, and tile. I didn't experience any issues with it vacuuming various surfaces. If it encounters an obstacle, it will take a picture of it and ask me to review it. It is much quieter than my traditional vacuum and old robot vacuum. The only loud noise I've noticed is when it is emptying into the dock. As far as mopping goes, it does a good job of mopping and scrubbing extra dirty areas but the drying process for the mop pad is lengthy and noisy. The dock itself is rather big and takes up space, but that is to be expected since it contains various bins for vacuuming and mopping. Overall, this is a great robot vacuum that does a good job of keeping your floors clean. I am very pleased with its performance and would recommend it to anyone.

The roomba is so smart and does a great job avoiding furniture/items while cleaning your floor. This one also comes with a mopping feature which also drys so quickly. I love that we can set up the roomba to clean when we're out & we return home to clean space! I am so impressed by its vacuum function! It picks up everything!

I received this Roomba from Influenster for an honest review of the product. First I want to say the setup was a little hard since there were no instructions on how to use the Roomba. Once I did some research and downloaded the app things got easier. Also YouTube was a great help. This product is a dream come true. It's like having a personal maid. There's 4 stages of cleaning. The vacuum is great and even gets pet hair from both carpet and hard floor. The mopping system knows when there's carpet and lots the mop to the top so carpet won't get wet. The autowash docks automatically, refills and recharges, washes and dries the pad then empties the dustbin and self cleans. Thank you Influenster for this product because it's a game changer in how I clean my house. I 100% recommend it.
Invest in Roomba 10 for a clean home!

Wow, I am so impressed with the iRobot Roomba combo 10! The roomba is so smart and does a great job avoiding furniture/items while cleaning your floor. This one also comes with a mopping feature which also drys so quickly. I love that we can set up the roomba to clean when we're out & we return home to clean space! I am so impressed by its vacuum function! It picks up everything!
