Q: What's the highest steam temperature?

A: Hi Connie. In Steam Wash mode, the BISSELL CrossWave HydroSteam will heat the internal water temperature to 212F to produce steam. The average temperature of the steam on your floor (in Steam Mode) is 30C—35C (86—95F), but you may see a max temperature of 50C—55C (122-131F).

A: Hi Tess. It's a corded machine and the steam is a setting you don't have to use at all times. It's not designed for dry vacuuming, it's meant to vacuum and mop at the same time.

Atrocious Service/Communication--and not for wood floors

This is as disappointing product as I have purchased. I had several questions about use, and especially about why they did not include, in this supposed bundle, any of the fluids or brushes for wood floors.
I contacted them via email, and the guy who wrote back asked that I respond quickly. I did. To my surprise, rather than just answering my questions, he wanted pictures of the product, my home address, and more.
My original password no longer works on their site. Alas, their "forgot my password" link does not send me any emails, as promised.
I am now waiting to speak with them to return the product (you cannot re-assemble the puzzle-like shipping box), but nobody picks up. I am not on my 55th minute of waiting.
Meanwhile, they are absolutely hammering me with additional sales offers. It is so frustrating. These folks are looking to save costs (I have been told now, while waiting, to have my serial number ready some 90 times!), with their focus on selling and not on supporting.
This is a don't-dare-buy product, unless you know somebody who has it and you know about it and know it is right for you. I will never buy a Bissell product again.

I bought this product to replace my old one. I have had it for about a year and its leaking out the bottom. So disappointed. I had my old one for years and years.

The BISSELL CrossWave HydroSteam Plus Steam Cleaner - 3515 falls short on several fronts, especially given its steep price. For starters, the water tank is way too small—it needs to be emptied every few minutes, which makes any deep cleaning session frustratingly slow. Plus, it doesn’t perform nearly as well as you’d expect for a machine over $200. The vacuum power is underwhelming, and it struggles with even moderate messes, leaving streaks and missing spots. Overall, it’s hard to justify the cost for something that’s more hassle than help. Save your money and look for a more reliable option.

The BISSELL cross wave pet hair is way better. I was not a fan of this at all and I did not see any steam. Not sure if I got a defective item, will be trying to return.

However, the customer service, the return of the vac, the quick reverse on my credit card was the very best that I have ever encountered in the last 20 years. Customer service and refunds are most times tedious and takes most times it takes2 + weeks to get your money back - if you ever do. Because of their excellent customer service, I am now looking to buy a hand held vac and I donated to the Pet foundation. I will never buy any other vac than a Bissell

I was uncertain about how to clean this large area beyond just dry vacuuming. I have been aware of Bissell products for a long time and decided to try their Crosswave wet vac as a solution. In the two times I have used it I am very pleased with how it has worked. There are added steps, namely the handling of the water and cleaning solution, compared to the dry vac, but the Crosswave does both the dry vacuuming and scrubbing of the floors in one operation. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I was at a loss of how to clean it in addition to the use of my normal dry vac. I have been aware of Bissell's products for a long time and decided to try their Crosswave wet vac. It has been performed very well in my first two uses. Handling the filling and emptying of the water and solution are added, but easy activities, compared to just using a dry vac, but it actually performs both the dry and wet vacuuming in the same operation.

I was so excited about this machine and it's steam function. Worked great the first time. Second time steam function was already broken and won't work. Unfortunately, I let it sit in the box too long before I tried it and missed the return window so a lot of money lost. I would strong recommend AVOIDING this product.

The actual usage of the device, it works well. The maintenance of the device? Not so much. The amount of time you spend using it to clean, you will either spend the same amount of time or more cleaning it after each use. I highly recommend looking at videos of the cleaning process before buying this product. While there is a clean cycle, you still have to manually clean each part. The dirty bin holds both the liquid and the dry debris. Of course they mix. Mixing trash with dirty water, I cannot. Personally, purchasing a vacuum and a steamer/mop separately is a better option than mixing these two together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I specifically got this to eliminate a step when sweeping and mopping my floors and well as steaming them to make a cleaner environment for my babies learning to crawl.
Feedback:
1. It does the job but you have to go so slow that it doesn't save anytime.
2. The steam takes a few minutes to heat up (longer than the manual says). Not a huge deal just was a learning curve.
3. It doesn't leave enough moisture to stay wet for the required 5 minutes to sanitize. Even going over it twice isn't enough. Possibly user error?
4. It leaves about an inch and a half around the base of my cupboards and walls that it doesn't reach so I end up having to get the mop out for that anyway.
Conclusion: I hope to work out the kinks and find a groove in order to work this machine into my cleaning schedule efficiently. But after two uses I'm concerned it wasn't worth the money.
