A: Hi Connie. In Steam Wash mode, the BISSELL CrossWave HydroSteam will heat the internal water temperature to 212F to produce steam. The average temperature of the steam on your floor (in Steam Mode) is 30C—35C (86—95F), but you may see a max temperature of 50C—55C (122-131F).

I LOVED this straight out of the box. I loved the idea of mopping without using recycled dirty water. Product worked AMAZING right away, water was really dirty which felt great. Well after maybe 5 times of using, it stopped properly dispensing water and floor did not look visible wet even after multiple passes. I followed all care instructions after each use, and then followed bissells troubleshooting. They told me to return it. So I did. The replacement that came, worked only for FIVE minutes. What the heck?! I can't confidently keep this product work hundred of dollars when 2 that I recieved stopped working so fast. Unfortunately I'll just have to return and not replace. So unfortunate because when it was working, it worked well. I'm not sure why these machines are still out for sale when they have so many problems and bad reviews.

This is awesome!!!! Had an older cross-wave, and you can't even compare them. The first thing I noticed is, I could tell that it gripped the floor and was actually cleaning it and the roller just wasn't going over the top of it. They Changed the plastic part that you open up to get to the brush!!! Major upgrade on this Model. love it!!! would Definitely recommend!!!!

I would like it to have closer edge cleaning and a larger dirty tank. The smell of the clean+Natural multi-surfac solution is mild enough to use around my husband as he is sensitive to smells.

Wit old world wood floors there's always the trepidation in using anything let alone a steam cleaner. This is a surprisingly good vacuum which for the job and dies it well. The separate clean and dirty water tanks are great and work well. I've used this machine a couple of times and am amazed how clean my floors look. I recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a steam cleaner. The spares like filters, rollers and cleaning supplies I got as a package is a nice touch.

I was thrilled with the 3518 when I first bought it but now that I've used it a dozen times, I am decidedly much less enamored with it. I live in a small (1000 sq ft house) and the flooring is light grey wood look plank style porcelain tile. The tile isn't shiny smooth, it has some texture to it, and the crosswave simply doesn't get it clean. Dirt settles into the small grooves in the floor and the crosswave just hums along on top of it I tried it on my daughters kitchen floor – also porcelain tile but in a natural stone pattern and the same issue with it just not getting the dirt out of the grooves. It also tends to leave streaks and drops puddles sort of at random. It might help if Bissell actually made a better brush roller with bristles like you get on a plain old scrub brush, but at least right now they don't. I think it's a great idea but needs a bit of engineering refinement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a fair-good job. Better than it's Hoover counterpart, by far. We have 4 dogs and dog hair is a problem. On harwood floors 4/10, it picks up a small amount before it gets clogged and I have to stop and clear the jam. I have to swiffener the floor, vacuumed the floor, and then used Bissel. It works better, 6/10. Better than nothing. It could be much better on hardwood. Rugs = good 8/10. It could be better on the edge pickup.
I would buy this product again.

Only problem I have had is it seems to get clogged up easily so you have to stop frequently to dump the dirty water container. Could improve on the edge cleaning as well but overall this is a great little machine that makes the back breaking work of mopping much easier and it definitely gets my floors cleaner than they have ever been with traditional mopping.
