Q: Can you use very hot/boiling water in this mixer?
A: The Dr. Brown's formula mixing pitcher can accommodate boiling water up to 212 degrees F. For safety purposes, we do recommend following the formula instructions for the proper water temperature to mix with formula.

Q: We have to use thickener for reflux, so I have been making premixed water with thickener. Would this pitcher work for that as well?

Q: It says dishwasher and sterilizer safe, does that mean it can hold boiling water without releasing toxic material? What is the plastic number?
