Q: I have lots of long hair to vacuum. How does the anti-hair tangling on the brushes work?

A: This vacuum and the anti hair tangling brushroll has worked amazingly for our home! I was a skeptic as I have long curly hair and we also have a Great Pyrenees, but I haven’t had to clean the brush roll once yet and have been using it 1-2x times a week for over two months. Every other vacuum I’ve used I’ve had to clean the clogged brush roll every other use.

A: The roller will spin slowly in hard floor mode, but it won't come to a complete stop.

A: This vacuum has 3 flooring settings, Hard Floor Cleaning, Carpet & Low Pile Cleaning, and Thick Carpet & Area Rug Cleaning. These will adjust the speed the brushrolls spin at, as well as the suction.

I’m impressed by the vibrations on the rug settings. Does a great job getting the fine things up. We have 5 pets and it holds up well against them!! The roller truly gets nothing tangled in it. This little hose is amazing!

I own many shark vacuums and love them all but this one is junk. It only works great on hard floors. The minute I go on my low pile area rugs it turns red or is hard to push and wobbles or it goes so slow like it has no power( i tried it on all settings) its heavy and bulky. The 2nd brush collected a bunch of pet hair and there is no way to remove the cover anymore. I am going to return this.

I had a more basic shark for a few years and really enjoyed it. I purchased this out of splurge and love it. The suction is much much stronger than the other shark. It is more heavier than my older shark, but is much less heavier than my Kirby vacuum.

Worst vacuum I’ve ever owned. Blows fuses constantly. Doesn’t like to start. Leaves debris along the edges. The direct detect is so delayed it’s useless absolutely HATE this vacuum.

I bought this vacuum a couple months ago and it is amazing. I don’t have to switch from floor to carpet cleaning. The detect feature just switches for me. The suction is strong and powerful. It’s amazing how much dust it picks up off the carpet. My other vacuum never picked up that much dust up. I will be purchasing two more for my cleaning business.

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. The auto detect works great and it is the only vacuum other than a specialized one that works well on all floors - including Mohawk Smartstrand carpeting. The attachments and hose are easy to use. Much better than my Dyson which I couldn't even push on Smartstrand carpet.

Bought this Nov 28, 2024. Final piece was delivered Dec 9, 2024. Gave to wife on Christmas day and she was happy for about twenty seconds. The vacuum only worked for twenty seconds and shut down. It was vacuuming a hardwood floor so it should not have overheated, felt cold to touch and no burning smell so we let it sit for an several hours while we ate and it still will not turn on. Will be calling Sharkclean in the morning. Where is this companies quality control?

Do not recommend! Is it powerful, yes. And that’s about it. It’s like the “better” the sharks get, the worse they are. The floor setting, is not like the past vacuums, it has no clue the difference in the hardwood floor and carpet. The high pile carpet is pointless, bc it’s still too powerful of a suction. And the bigger problem is that I sucked up a tiny flower limb that got stuck in the bigger roller, so it keeps shutting off. One would think I could just fix the problem by taking it out, however, I have to unscrew a ton of screws to even get to it. Out of all their vacuums I’ve owned, this one has to be the worst.
Not so good as advertised. Definite design flaws.

Used it for the first time today. It does have great suction power both in the main brush and in the handle. Design is pathetic. Hose doesn't stretch more than 4 feet. You have to carry the lift away to whatever high item you need to clean. IT IS NOT LIGHT AS ADVERTISED. Accessories constantly fall off unit. Power level buttons are VERY ill placed as I kept changing the setting while cleaning. Brush roller turns red frequently when nothing is jammed. A quick turn off then back on fixes it.

I have purchased 3 Shark Vacuums over the years. (Plus other Shark products). This vacuum by far is the most superior vacuum. It’s phenomenal and a real work horse. The suction and detecting function from carpet to hard floors is flawless!! I highly recommend this vacuum.

Maneuvers very well and hits hard to reach spots. Not a very loud vacuum which is nice. Easy to maintain and handle. And filtration is efficient!
